# Meeting outcomes

> Create and manage the labels a host sets on a booking after it happens.

A meeting outcome is a label a host sets on a booking after it happens, such as No show or Follow up needed. Set one on a booking with [`bookings update --meeting-outcome-id`](/cli-reference/bookings#update-a-booking). For fields and response details, see the [API reference](/api/meeting-outcomes/list). Sample output on this page uses `--json`.

## List meeting outcomes

This command lists the meeting outcomes of the workspace. Use this when you want to find an outcome ID or review the available labels.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetocal meeting-outcomes list
neetocal meeting-outcomes list --search follow
```

| Flag | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `--search` | `string` | | | Search meeting outcomes by name |

```json Sample output (--json) theme={"system"}
{
  "data": [
    {
      "id": "59413def-60eb-47c6-b390-098fcf583b66",
      "name": "Follow up needed",
      "color": "yellow",
      "color_hex": "#EAB308",
      "kind": "custom"
    }
  ]
}
```

The list is not paginated. `kind` is `custom` for outcomes you create, or `no_show` for the built-in no show outcome.

## Show a meeting outcome

This command shows one meeting outcome. Use this after finding its ID from `meeting-outcomes list`.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetocal meeting-outcomes show <id>
```

**Required arguments:**

* `<id>` - Meeting outcome UUID

```json Sample output (--json) theme={"system"}
{
  "data": {
    "meeting_outcome": {
      "id": "59413def-60eb-47c6-b390-098fcf583b66",
      "name": "Follow up needed",
      "color": "yellow",
      "color_hex": "#EAB308",
      "kind": "custom"
    }
  }
}
```

## Create a meeting outcome

This command creates a meeting outcome. Use this when hosts need a new label for finished bookings. Creating one with the name of a deleted outcome brings that outcome back.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetocal meeting-outcomes create --name "Follow up needed" --color yellow
```

| Flag | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `--color` | `string` | Yes | | Color: blue, orange, gray, red, yellow, violet, pink, teal, cyan or green |
| `--name` | `string` | Yes | | Outcome name |

```json Sample output (--json) theme={"system"}
{
  "data": {
    "meeting_outcome": {
      "id": "59413def-60eb-47c6-b390-098fcf583b66",
      "name": "Follow up needed",
      "color": "yellow",
      "color_hex": "#EAB308",
      "kind": "custom"
    }
  }
}
```

## Update a meeting outcome

This command renames a meeting outcome or changes its color. Only the flags you pass change.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetocal meeting-outcomes update <id> --color teal
```

**Required arguments:**

* `<id>` - Meeting outcome UUID

| Flag | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `--color` | `string` | | | Color: blue, orange, gray, red, yellow, violet, pink, teal, cyan or green |
| `--name` | `string` | | | Outcome name |

```json Sample output (--json) theme={"system"}
{
  "data": {
    "meeting_outcome": {
      "id": "59413def-60eb-47c6-b390-098fcf583b66",
      "name": "Follow up needed",
      "color": "teal",
      "color_hex": "#14B8A6",
      "kind": "custom"
    }
  }
}
```

## Delete a meeting outcome

This command deletes a meeting outcome. An outcome already set on bookings is kept on those bookings and no longer appears when you list or show outcomes. Any other outcome is removed permanently.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetocal meeting-outcomes delete <id>
```

**Required arguments:**

* `<id>` - Meeting outcome UUID

```text Sample output theme={"system"}
Meeting outcome deleted.
```

In `--quiet` mode, this prints `success`.
